The Mentoring/Coaching process gave me:
- Get to know myself better. It has helped me to see what my strengths and areas of improvement are.
- Relativize. Differentiate urgent vs important.
- Help make difficult decisions. Analyze well what consequences these decisions may have.
- Better understand the people around me. The fact of having worked a lot on the 4 relational styles has helped me to know how to deal with different complicated situations on a professional and personal level.
The change this process has produced in me and the impact it has had on my leadership style is as follows:
- Deepen the reflection of my strengths and weaknesses towards my team.
- Detect the needs of my team and look for optimal and viable solutions to satisfy them.
- Improve communication with the people who are part of the team: It is essential to understand how each one is, in order to find the best way to communicate (relational styles). How to deal with a Water-Earth-Air-Fire person.
- Address the necessary actions in different types of situations, especially adverse situations.
